We’re over lists. Endless countdowns regurgitated and recycled. But when Trip.com — the digital one-stop travel colossus redefining global exploration — this week dropped its 2025 Trip.Best Global Rankings, and it featured Vietnam in 38 spots, we decided to allow this one.

That’s because this Trip.Best 2025 list is a striking testament to our home country’s growing global appeal. From misty mountain retreats to sun-drenched coastal havens, Vietnamese establishments are turning heads worldwide. According to 2025 Trip.Best Global Rankings eleven provinces across the nation now boast internationally recognized stays, dining experiences, and attractions that rival the best in Asia and beyond.

An Irresistible Blend Of Luxury And Natural Spendor

Coastal paradises like Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc continue to captivate travelers with their irresistible blend of luxury and natural splendor.

Meanwhile, Vietnamese cuisine — from street-side revelations to refined fine dining — is cementing its place in the global culinary consciousness. “Vietnam’s tourism sector is making notable strides. The country’s presence on the 2025 Trip.Best Global Rankings is a powerful indicator of its growth and rising global stature,” Steve’ Nam Nguyen, General Manager of Trip.com Vietnam explains.

“The recognition of Vietnam’s diverse travel offerings — from family-friendly stays and stunning resorts to local culinary delights and iconic attractions — as being among the best in Asia and the world is a proud moment for us. We believe this will encourage Vietnamese to rediscover their local treasures and motivate more international travellers to experience all that Vietnam has to offer.”

A Country-Wide Celebration of Excellence

The 38 honored establishments span an impressive geographic footprint. Twenty celebrated stays shine across Luxury, Gourmet, Villas, Scenic, and Instagrammable categories.

In the Top 100 Hotels Globally, Vietnam’s InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, Amanoi, Regent Phu Quoc and Capella Hanoi all starred, with Amanoi and InterContinental Danang joined by JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort in the Top 100 Scenic Hotels Globally.

Capella Hanoi and Zannier Bai San Ho — which we first visited in March 2023 — were both, rightfully, ranked in the Top 100 Instagrammable Hotels Globally.

Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi got a shout-out in the Top 100 Cultural Hotels In Asia. And Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai Hoi An, Six Senses Con Dao, Regent Phu Quoc, Anantara Quy Nhon Villas, and Banyan Tree Lang Co. were all mentioned in the Top 100 Villas In Asia category — among other successes for Vietnam’s hotels.

Trip.com’s 2025 Global Rankings Confirms Vietnam’s Culinary Cachet

Sixteen remarkable restaurants represent Vietnam in Local, Views & Experiences, Fine Dining, and Light Bites segments.

Ngon Restaurant and Quan An Ngon featured in the Top 100 Local Restaurants Globally, and Ngon Restaurant, Hoa Túc, Quan An Ngon, Era Restaurant, Tam Vi, and Bepmein 1 – Le Thanh Ton were all ranked in the Top 100 Local Restaurants In Asia list.

Pho Le, Bun Cha Nem Cua Be Dac Kim, Banh Mi Huynh Hoa, Pho Hoa Pasteur, Bun Cha Huong Lien, and Pho Viet Nam featured in the Light Bites Restaurants In Asia category.

In fine dining, Top 100 Fine Dining Restaurants in Asia, Gia Hanoi and Anan Saigon featured in the rankings, and AKUNA and Cau Go Restaurant in the Top 100 Views & Experiences Restaurants in Asia.

Beyond The Urban Centers In Trip.com’s 2025 Global Rankings

Trip.com’s Trip.Best list also agreed with what we already know: Vietnam’s tourism magic extends far beyond its major urban hubs.

While Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang feature prominently, the coastal provinces tell an equally compelling story. Ba Ria–Vung Tau, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Kien Giang, Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen, Quang Nam, and Thua Thien Hue all made spectacular showings — underlining the country’s diverse appeal that stretches from northern heights to southern deltas.

Interestingly, Nha Trang featured prominently.

In the Top 100 Family-Friendly Attractions Globally list, Vietnam had one entrant: VinWonders Nha Trang, and also one in the Top 100 Hot Spings Globally, in the same destination: Nha Trang I-Resort Hot Spring Tourist Area. In the Top 100 Family-Friendly Attractions in Asia category, VinWonders Nha Trang appeared again, along with Ba Na Hills. And in the Top 100 Hot Spings in Asia, Nha Trang I-Resort Hot Spring Tourist Area and Nui Than Tai Hot Springs Park were namechecked.

Trip.com Giving A Global Picture

Trip.com’s 2025 rankings, powered by AI analysis of verified user data, reveal fascinating global trends alongside Vietnam’s rise.

Luxury and uniqueness dominate traveler preferences, with design-forward, photogenic properties gaining particular momentum in the social media age.

Theme parks continue their reign, claiming six of the world’s top 10 attraction spots, drawing millions with their immersive experiences. Culinary tourism thrives at the intersection of fine dining excellence and authentic local food exploration, with travelers increasingly planning itineraries around memorable meals.

New regional lists like Trip.Best Europe 100 and Trip.Best Americas 100 reflect growing appetites for destination diversity beyond Asia’s borders. Adding another dimension, seasonal and thematic categories—from Water Fun to Fall Views — offer travelers more tailored inspiration for planning the perfect getaway.

For the curious and the wanderlust-afflicted, Trip.Best’s complete 2025 rankings await exploration, offering a window into where the world is heading next. You can learn more here.
