Danang has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years – from sleepy coastal city to sophisticated urban center where the mountains meet the sea. Nowhere is this evolution more evident than in its burgeoning Danang rooftop bar scene, where creative mixologists and visionary restaurateurs have claimed the skyline as their canvas, at these, the best rooftop bars in Danang.
Unlike Saigon’s vertigo-inducing skyscrapers, Danang’s rooftop venues offer a different kind of magic: panoramic vistas that capture both the curvature of My Khe Beach, the dramatic silhouette of the Son Tra Peninsula, and vertiginous views of the Han River. Here, in Danang, the golden hour isn’t just about the light – it’s about watching the city transition from sun-drenched paradise to twinkling coastal metropolis.
Danang’s Best Rooftop Bars
What makes Danang’s rooftop scene unique is its dual personality. By day, these elevated spaces serve as peaceful retreats where visitors can escape the heat while soaking in the views. By night, they transform into vibrant social hubs where the gentle sea breeze carries both conversation and carefully curated playlists.
Discovering The Best Rooftop Bars In Danang: Our Selection Criteria
In compiling this list, we looked beyond mere height and views (though both are important). Besides the odd curve ball, we sought out spaces that embody Danang’s distinctive character – places where thoughtful design complements rather than competes with the natural surroundings.
We’ve prioritized establishments that understand that a truly great rooftop experience is a multisensory affair: the taste of locally-inspired cocktails, the sound of waves meeting shoreline, the feel of sea-salt air, or the river rippling far below, and yes, those incomparable views that remind you why this city has become Vietnam’s coastal crown jewel.
While the classic hotels along Bach Dang Street have their charms (and their fans), our focus is also on the new wave of rooftop venues that are redefining what an elevated drinking experience can be in this rapidly evolving city. These are places where innovative architecture meets culinary ambition, where traditional Vietnamese elements blend seamlessly with contemporary design.

Endless Summer Rooftop Pool & Bar
We might as well face it, summer isn’t endless in Danang. There’s a distinct summer season – the dazzling months between April and September when the temperature consistently tips beyond 30 degrees, and there’s only one or two rainy days a month to dampen the mood. It’s still hot heading into October and November but it’s more rugged and rainier. That’s why the plucky Endless Summer Rooftop Pool & Bar in Danang appeals – they’re sticking to the belief that summer never ends.

In fact, the name Endless Summer was taken from the 1966 surf documentary, a film infused with wanderlust and a twanging surf rock soundtrack. The music at Endless Summer’s 25th floor might err towards dreamy summertime electronica mixed with sunshine reggae, rather than surf rock, but there are surfboards on either side of the bar with the menus written on, a lounge area with ringside seats of the Han River and beyond, probably the longest bar in Danang, where you can also sit, and another area beside the pool, for some intimate moments with a date. The smiling staff reflect the vibe downstairs at Wink Hotel Danang Riverside – an upstart, made-in-Vietnam brand of hotels, with a youthful energy (and equally youthful front-of-house team).
It’s the perfect perch to admire the Dragon Bridge, or to watch DIFF (Danang International Fireworks Festival), but, equally, it’s vertiginous good-times any night of the year, summer time or not.
In Short: The riverside Danang rooftop bar where summer never ends…whatever the weather.

The Gypsy Rooftop Kitchen & Bar
As improbable a concept as any on this list, Danang’s The Gypsy Rooftop Kitchen & Bar isn’t home to an itinerant population – as the name ‘gypsy’ suggests. That is unless you count the footloose Frenchmen and co-founders Zac and Olivier (who we went shopping with back in 2019, shortly he opened the beloved Le Comptoir). But they’re French and they probably wouldn’t appreciate it. Instead, the name The Gypsy, refers to devil-may-care attitude of the cuisine, that includes a 4-course chef’s tasting menu – since we first met Olivier has ably steered Le Comptoir to MICHELIN-selected status – (1,190,000VND) featuring Wagyu striploin and Hokkaido scallops, and an Italian-leaning a la carte menu of risottos and seared salmon, finishing with the Gypsy Signature Tiramisu.

All these can be enjoyed in the air-conditioned dining room, with pre- or post-drinks, that include a menu of smokey classics like their Old Fashioned, Cherry Negroni and Mezcal Honey, fun, locally-inspired signatures, and international concoctions to be sipped beside the bar outside with its mesmerizing views of the expanding metropolis.

In Short: High-end vagabonding for your taste buds.

East West Brewing Co. Danang
When East West Brewing Co. pitched up in Danang a year or two ago few doubted its chances of success. Cans of their East West Pale Ale, Pacific Pilsner and Far East IPA already filled convenience store shelves, while hogging pumps at tap rooms nationwide.

They’d fine-tuned their operations at their successful, warehouse-like Saigon micro-brewery and taproom, by the time they unfolded the deck chairs in Danang outside their cavernous new East West Brewing Co. right on My Khe Beach. Shortly after, they unveiled the rooftop. It might be the lowest of the entrants into our Best Rooftop Bars In Danang list, but that only means there’s fewer stairs to stagger down, after a night of craft beer perfectly attuned to the tropical temperature and sumptuous, seafood-heavy bites.
In Short: Low-rise, high-reward craft heaven where the beach meets the beers.

Sky 36
You have to give it to the sky bar, lounge and event space atop the Novotel Danang Premier Han River, proudly the highest-floored venue of its kind in Vietnam (that was until Horizon Bar at the Four Points By Sheraton opened – more on that later).

But Sky 36 doesn’t have time to look down upon its other peers. It’s too busy having a good time, as this is also the most celebratory of sky bars in Danang – something more akin to Chill Skybar in Saigon or Skylight Nha Trang. Sky 36 is similarly storied, with 10 years of raucous parties in the clouds featuring DJs, flaring and fire dances. The menu might feel like an afterthought, but suffice to say there’s a 6-9PM happy hour, with Corona beer combos, and beyond that, tiki-style cocktails and beer towers, and lots and lots of tequila shots.

In Short: A rooftop bar in Danang where altitude meets attitude.

Dragon Ball Rooftop Bar
Ready for a curve ball? Introducing Dragon Ball Rooftop Bar Danang, a no-frills venue so in love with Danang’s fire-breathing, water-spouting Dragon Bridge, that they might as well get a room – only Dragon Ball Rooftop Bar isn’t, unlike the rest of our contenders so far, atop a hotel. It does have ring side seats that are especially popular Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 9pm, when the bridge rouses from its sleep and starts its routine. It’s conveniently located a short walk from the night market. And the cocktails, lots of classics like Long Island Ice Teas and Negronis are 5 or 6 dollars, with a kindly buy two get three offer, are served with Vietnamese staples, spring rolls and bánh xèo.

In Short: Fire-breathing views with flash-sale prices – no Shenron summoning required.

Horizon Bar
Perched on the 36th floor of Four Points by Sheraton, jockeying with Sky 36 to be the tallest like two school kids standing on tip toes and claiming to be the tallest. From up here, Horizon Bar, partly thanks to its height, and partly to its proximity to the beach, it delivers one of Danang’s most spectacular 360-degree panoramas. This sleek, glass-enclosed aerie strikes the perfect balance between sophisticated design and laid-back coastal charm. During sunset hours, the bar’s west-facing side captures the dramatic interplay of light across the Han River and Marble Mountains, while evening reveals the shimmering coastline stretching north to Son Tra Peninsula.

The cocktail program focuses on elevated classics with Vietnamese twists – try their signature Dragon Fruit Mojito or the aromatic Marble Mountain Martini infused with local herbs. A thoughtfully curated wine list and premium spirits collection round out the offerings. While the space transitions from relaxed daytime lounge to vibrant evening hotspot, attentive service remains constant, with staff who know when to engage and when to let the view speak for itself.
In Short: A rooftop bar in Danang where the sky’s-the-limit view gives new meaning to ‘high-end’ drinking.

The Top Bar
Back down the beach, towards the center of Danang’s beach action, and crowning the A La Carte Hotel on the 23rd floor, The Top Bar has elevated Danang’s rooftop scene with its sophisticated yet playful approach to open-air drinking. This expansive space cleverly divides into distinct zones: a shimmering infinity pool area where sun-seekers lounge by day, a covered bar section where cocktail aficionados gather, and a series of intimate cabanas perfect for small groups.

What sets The Top Bar apart is its chameleon-like ability to transition through the day – from serene morning coffee spot with My Khe Beach views, to buzzing sunset cocktail destination, to after-dark hotspot where DJs spin an eclectic mix of house and lounge beats. The drinks program leans into tropical influences, featuring artisanal takes on beach classics alongside signature creations like their “Cloud 23” – a layered masterpiece of local vodka, passion fruit, and edible silver dust that mirrors the mists that occasionally embrace the nearby mountains.
In Short: A chameleon in the clouds – morning coffee, sunset cocktails, midnight revelry.

Wink Sky Bar + Lounge
Back with Wink Hotels, this time at their downtown location, Wink Hotel Danang Centre. The elevator doors open onto the 19th floor, which has some of the best up-close views of Danang’s Dragon Bridge, through the horse-shoe shaped floor-to-ceiling windows. It’s an intimate space to take in the bright lights of Danang below, with hushed lighting, affordable cocktails and coffee, and Wink’s signature smiling staff.

On weekends, it’s also perfect to watch the Dragon Bridge’s theatrics, ensconced in the welcoming space, with a playlist of breezy good-time electronica. Downstairs there’s a branch of Heart Of Darkness Craft Brewery in case you miss being roadside, the smell of gasoline and grit wafting through the night air. And, considering Wink’s 20th floor co-working space and gym, affordable-luxury outlook, you might want to stay the night.
In Short: Floor-to-ceiling views and a good-time playlist.
